One of the most effective treatments to date: At the core of combination therapy is in most cases H.E.L.P. Apheresis - a highly selective apheresis form - a special blood purification by precipitation/adsorption procedure. It serves to treat microcirculation / blood flow issues (microclots are removed, blood flow increased) and removes pathogenic or disease-sustaining proteins and protein-bound substances from the blood.  Long Covid and many other Chronic Illnesses are at their root an endothelitis/vasculitis with severe inflammation, combined with hypercoagulation and viral persistence. IV treatments work directly where needed the most: in the blood vessels in the desired concentration.

Prof. Elfriede Leniger-Follert discovered the mechanism of the disease-related narrowing of the microvessels in 1983. This reduces the oxygen supply to the brain, the retina, the inner ear, the lungs and liver, the kidneys and the feet.

In all circulatory disorders, the outer side of the vascular muscle cells is negatively charged compared to the positively charged inner side (potassium depolarisation). This reversal is the trigger for the shortening of the ring-shaped vascular muscles, which thus become narrower.

A few years later, she discovered that magnesium ions are capable of reversing the unfavourable charge distribution. This opens and widens the blood vessels again.

Prof. Leniger-Follert uses direct IV injections into the veins and oxygen concentrators directly after.

The Apheresis Center developed a similar therapy based on the decade long knowledge of their medical team and have adapted her findings to the use with Hyperbaric Oxygen combined with IV treatment with Magnesium NaCl solution.

Magnesium Oxygen Therapy - but literally supercharged.

Colon Hydrotherapy, also known as colonic irrigation, constitutes an internal cleansing procedure designed to rid the colon of deleterious waste materials. This therapeutic intervention serves as a rapid and highly efficient means of detoxification for the body. The mild internal hydration expeditiously eliminates pathogenic toxins by leveraging the natural peristaltic movements, further facilitated by abdominal massage. Notably, this process has implications for individuals with symptoms that present similar to Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), as it influence the systemic responses associated with this symptoms often triggered by Long Covid, Post Vac or other Chronic Illnesses. 

The application of Intravenous Immunoglobulin (IVIG) and monoclonal antibodies (mABs) represents a new area in treating Long Covid, Post Vac and Chronic Illnesses. These conditions involve complex immune dysregulation and inflammatory responses. IVIG is a concentrated preparation of immunoglobulins derived from pooled human plasma.

Monoclonal antibodies, designed to target specific components of the immune response, present another avenue for intervention. Both IVIG and mABs are being investigated for their potential to restore immune homeostasis.

The current official indications include symptoms present in chronic illness and many post-viral conditions: Myo- and Pericarditis, Small Fiber Neuropathy but also acute/severe conditions like Sepsis.

A stellate ganglion block (SGB) is a one- or doublesided injection of anesthetic medication into a collection of nerves called the stellate ganglion. Many patients experienced an alleviation of dysautonomia symptoms following a stellate ganglion block. Other symptoms that improved or resolved were: anxiety/PTSD, arosmia and parosmia. The positive effects of a stellate ganglion block can sometimes last, but often are temporary (which is fine as it gives the body a 'time-out' to regenerate.

Many last year's patients had to come back for another round of H.E.L.P. Apheresis and Combination Therapy treatment, because they reinfected with Covid and were thrown back to severe Long Covid.
